Craig M. Carter, DDSCraig M. Carter, DDS

Dr. Carter grew up in Waterford, WI.  He found his childhood dentist to be inspiring and realized at a very early age that he wanted to be a dentist and help people through their smiles.  He graduated from Marquette School of Dentistry in 1983.  Dr. Carter received more than a degree, as he also met his wife Carolyn, whom he just celebrated his 31st wedding anniversary with, in October.

Dr. Carter joined Carolyn in Monroe in 1984.  He worked in Dr. Caradine’s practice for 3 years before purchasing it and becoming the sole dentist.  Dr. Carter has enjoyed growing the practice and relocating to a more suitable location.

Dr. Carter has maintained his level of excellence by continuing his education at several prestigious facilities including Pankey Institute, Las Vegas Institute, Scottsdale Centre, United States Dental Institute, Center for Esthetic excellence, The Nash Institute, and the Center for Occlusal studies.  He is Invisalign certified and is a member of the Greater Dane, Wisconsin, and American Dental Associations.  He is dedicated to providing the most advanced care possible to his patients and stays current with all new product updates and technology related to the dental world.  His great passion for dentistry continues to grow with each passing year.

Dr. Carter is the proud parent of three teenagers,  Alexandria, Katrina, and David.  Away from the office Dr. Carter enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting, and attending his children’s various sporting and recreational activities.

Janelle C. Eckdhal, DDSJanelle C. Eckdhal, DDS

“Dentistry has been a perfect fit for me, as it has allowed me to help people of all ages feel better about their smiles and about themselves.  Monroe is a great place to practice and live; it has secure, wholesome roots and an active population of young families.”

Dr. Eckdhal grew up nearby, on a farm in Shullsburg, Wisconsin.  She then attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois where she met her husband, Eric.  After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Biology, she attended dental school at the University of Iowa and graduated as valedictorian of her dental school class.  Dr. Eckdhal attended a general practice residency in Salt Lake City, Utah where she practiced both in a large University hospital and a rural clinic on a Navajo Reservation.

After moving back to Wisconsin in 2006, Dr. Eckdhal has enjoyed practicing with Dr. Carter and expanding the services she provides by attending continuing education courses.  She has attended Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Scottsdale Center for Dentistry and Hands on Training Institute for Dental Implants and is a member of the American, Wisconsin and Greater Dane Dental Associations.

In her free time, Dr. Eckdhal loves spending time outdoors with her husband and four young children, Connor, Althea, Evelyn and Violet.   Depending on the time of year, you can find her gardening, curling, horseback riding or running.
